Facebook has bought that hilarious face-swapping app your friends can’t stop using with their dogs. The buyout will ensure that everyone in your friend list will soon be swapping faces with movie stars and animals.
Mark Zuckerberg’s acquisition of the company Masquerade went through last week. It’ll eventually be integrated into Facebook’s platform, allowing just about anyone to swap their mugs with those of their nearest and dearest, creating photos both hilarious and slightly terrifying.
Facebook didn’t reveal how much they paid for Masquerade but it was likely a lot, considering how much they’ve spent on other start-ups. Yay for us!
