Me? Well, if anyone asks I was in school, but more likely than not, I was skipping class with my two best friends, like we did every St. Patrick’s day. We didn’t do anything cool like drinking, but we certainly did eat a lot of junk food and thought we were cool.
But I do remember the Mobile, Alabama leprechaun gracing our news channel. How could one forget?
2006 was an amazing year, and it produced the most infamous eyewitness sketch ever. Even more infamous than the Unabomber.
On March 14, 2006, the local NBC affiliate, WPMI-TV, heard that crowds were flocking to Mobile’s Crichton neighborhood due to a leprechaun sighting. Still, the mystery remains: was it a leprechaun? Or, maybe, as many have theorized, a crack head? We may never know…
