Here Are The Top Panels Happening At This Week’s New York Comic Con — Part 1!

It's HERE! It's time to let your nerd flag fly at this week's NYCC!

New York Comic Con happens this week!

Are you excited? Are you attending? Are you dressing up? SO MANY QUESTIONS!

Well, I'll be attending NYCC for First Slice for our first time and we couldn't be more excited about the opportunity! If you happen to see me flitting about with the First Slice logo, come say hi! It'll prove to me that someone, ANYONE reads my articles!

Anyway, with so many amazing panels happening at all sorts of conflicting times and places, it's hard to plan out exactly what you want to do. Should I wait on the line for HOURS to see certain panels? Or just pick and choose and risk missing something exciting and having to wait til it hits the web.

Such hard decisions.

Since NYCC officially starts on Thursday October 8th and ends on October 11th, there's hundreds of panels happening. So, we did you a favor and scanned everything to determine what's worth the wait and what you can definitely miss, even though you don't want to.

Here's part one, Days 1 & 2 of the best panels that you definitely should not miss.

Thursday, October 8th, 2015 – The First Day

  • Star Wars Rebels Season 2 Panel from 1:30 PM – 2:30 PM at the Empire Stage 1-E

The second season of Star Wars Rebels is coming and with it brings a lot of new episodes. Plus, they just announced that Sarah Michelle Gellar is joining her husband Freddie Prinze Jr. in voicing a character on the show, so it's likely she'll be there. AKA this a pretty good panel to go to and an awesome start to an incredible week.

  • The Walking Dead: An Inside Look with Robert Kirkman at 2:45 PM – 3:45 PM at the Empire Stage 1-E

According to the description, Robert Kirkman will be joined by "guests" to discuss the comics and the show and the Walking Dead universe. Who will join Kirkman? I'm betting Norman Reedus will be there, but no one has been confirmed. Guess we'll all just have to go and see!

  • Game of Thrones: A Panel of Ice and Fire from 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM at the Empire Stage 1-E

On the schedule for this panel is Finn Jones aka Ser Loras, Keisha Castle-Hughes aka Obara Sand, and of course the queen, Natalie Dormer aka Margaery. So, really, do I need to explain this more?

  • Star Wars Rebels Season 2 Sneak Preview from 5:30 PM – 6:45 PM at the Empire Stage 1-E

Following the excitement from earlier in the day, they'll be showing off the first TWO episodes of the season at this panel! Definitely a must-see for all fans of the show.

  • Sean Bean Brings Legends to NYCC from 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the Empire Stage 1-E

This is Sean Bean's first time at New York Comic Con, so that's pretty cool. Plus they'll be discussing season two of the show, which apparently, is completely different. But, come on, it's Sean Bean!

  • WBTV Preview Night Screenings from 7:15 PM – 9:30 PM at the Main Stage 1-D Presented by AT&T

I'm including this one even though it's a conflict because it's happening twice, so you can decide whether you'd rather go on Sunday or on Thursday. They're showing episodes of Supergirl and Containment and a sneak preview of DC's Legends of Tomorrow. So, basically, it's a must-see.

Friday October 9th, 2015 – Day Two

  • ABC Family's Stitchers and Pretty Little Liars from 11:00 AM – 12:15 PM in Room 1A06

Just about everyone that stars in both of these shows are appearing at this thing. It's gonna be a GOOD one for fans of the shows.

  • Cartoon Network Presents: Adventure Time from 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM at Hammerstein Ballroom – 311 W 34th St

Alright, so this one is off-site at the Hammerstein Ballroom, so it's a bit of a pain to get to and you should probably not go to it if you have something you wanna see at 1:00 PM. But I've included it for all the cartoon fans out there. It's got a bunch of the cast and is sure to be entertaining. Algebraic!

  • Felicia Day Spotlight from 12:45 PM – 1:45 PM at Empire Stage 1-E

Worth going to because Felicia Day is one of the Queens of the Geeks and she'll be talking all things involving her incredible career. Definite must see.

  • CBS TV Studios Block Featuring Elementary and Limitless from 1:30 PM – 3:00 PM at Hammerstein Ballroom – 311 W 34th St.

Again, this one is off the site of the Javits Center, but definitely worth going to if you can swing it. The stars of both shows are slated to appear, hellllllllllo Lucy Liu, and it's just gonna be a good time for fans of both series. Though, Elementary definitely has more fans, but whatevs.

  • In Conversation with Seth Meyers: Late Night host Discusses His Career in Comedy from 1:45 PM – 2:45 PM at Room 1A10, Javits Center

Fans of Late Night television will be excited about this one, since Seth Meyers is a super huge nerd and also an impressive writer and just all around seemingly great guy.

  • Colony Screening & Q&A followed by Mr. Robot from 3:30 PM – 6:00 PM at Hammerstein Ballroom – 311 W 34th St.

This one you're in it for the long haul both because it's two panels in one and because it's at Hammerstein Ballroom. BUT the cast and creators will be there answering questions and it's basically gonna be a good time.

  • Once Upon a Time: An Evening with the Dark Swan from 4:30 PM – 5:30 PM at the Empire Stage 1-E

A must-see for die-hard OUAT-ers, Jennifer Morrison will be there with the creators to talk about her characters transition to the Dark Swan. Sounds JUICY. Plus talk about Storybrooke's news princess, Merida. COOL.

  • Marvel Television Presents: Agents of Primetime from 6:00 PM – 7:15 PM at Main Stage 1-D Presented by AT&T

This panel is all about Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D and Agent Carter so it's bound to be filled with exclusive clips and previews and all that fun stuff. Plus there's a chance some of the cast members will be there and Hayley Atwell is perfect, so you know, there's that.

  • Angie Tribeca: 'Con Confessional With Rashida Jones + Cast from 6:45 PM – 7:30 PM at Room 1A06

Rashida Jones is going to be there so this one is obviously going to be a good panel. But it also looks like they'll be showing a sneak preview of the "gritty" show and have a Q&A that will be sure to tease and tantalize fans.

  • CON MAN: A Series 13 Years in the Making from 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Empire Stage 1-E

SO MANY STARS. Nathan Fillion for one, plus Alan Tudyk and just so many other great people. So if Rashida Jones isn't your cup of tea, definitely be sure to attend this panel because DUH. Plus, Con-Man looks hilarious and who doesn't love hilarious TV?

So, what panels from Day 1 and Day 2 will YOU be attending?
