I would absolutely LOVE Japanese food if it didn’t involve fish… had no rice, noodles or teriyaki sauce… and was pizza. You seriously wouldn’t be able to keep me away from it.
Sadly, most menus at Japanese restaurants do not offer everyone’s favorite doughy, tomatoey, topping-covered delight… or even cheese at all when you think about it. (Which is ironic given the cheesiness of their entertainment.)
However, if you’re ever dining at Sake Bar Hagi 46 in New York City, you’re in for a special surprise.
The eatery offers a delicious pizza tempura, which they sell for just six bucks. As you know, even deep-fried chalk would likely taste great, so this has gotta be good… and if it sucks, you’ll already be at a sake bar and probably sloshed enough to not even notice.
Surprisingly, the pizza has been on the menu for 13 years but it’s just now gaining viral fame.
If you can’t make it to New York, just stick a slice of pepperoni into your own deep fryer and you should be good to go.
Food the way God meant it to be consumed.
