David Wain And Michael Showalter Create Hilarious ’70s Movie Trailer That May Actually Be A Cologne Ad

Usually, when advertisement is disguised as entertainment, I get really annoyed. How dare you make me enjoy something while trying to sell me a product! The betrayal I feel is insurmountable. Just be upfront about it. Tell me to buy something because it will make me more desirable to women.

That said, I can’t stay mad at David Wain and Michael Showalter, the little scamps.

Their new fake trailer for a ’70s action movie, The Second Sound Barrier, is sadly, not a new Netflix original, but rather part of a promotion for a new line of fragrances from Robert Graham.

The trailer is 4 minutes of hilarious one-liners, bizarre plot twists, and perfectly ridiculous character names, like Thelonious Courage. Plus, it has star power, including Vincent Kartheiser, Jeremy Sisto, Peter Mensah, Juliette Lewis, Ken Marino, and Steve Little.

It’s hard to tell what is the best part: Juliette Lewis’s hilarious disguises, or the dance number.
