Flesh hungry zombies will soon find a permanent home at Universal Studios Hollywood. The Walking Dead attraction, an immersive maze featuring animatronics, live actors and digital projections, will bring “the most popular cable TV show in history to life,” according to Universal.
The theme park previously featured The Walking Dead as part of their annual Halloween Horror Nights. It was such a hit that they’ve now decided to make it available to guests 365 days a year.
Concept art makes it seem as if the attraction will feature massive sets, hordes of freaky zombies and at least one door that’s positively bursting with the murderous creatures.
“It’s going to be located within a custom-built structure that will immerse guests within the world of The Walking Dead,” Talking Dead podcast host Chris Hardwick said of the attraction.
